The picture was taken on a clear day with the front end of the Dhow (ship) facing towards the front right. The front end is pointed but the overall shape of the boat bottom is like a large wooden canoe about 6 feet wide and perhaps 20 feet long. The boat bottom is brown with a 6 inch wide white strip along the top edge of the boat bottom. There is a large mast in the center of the ship with a square white sail half unfurled. There are several Arab men dressed in white thobes (like a long loose fitting dress) with red and white checked ghutras (head scarf) wrapped around their heads. There is one man standing on the boat wearing a light brown thobe. The ship is sitting in a roped off rectangle on the ground filled with small bright blue stones all around the ship. The ground outside the rectangle looks like hard sand. There are several people wondering around the area outside the rectangle.
