The Flag of Saudi Arabia

National Anthem Lyrics
Hasten to glory and supremacy!
Glorify the Creator of the heavens
And raise the green, fluttering flag,
Carrying the emblem of Light!
Repeat - God is greatest!
O my country,
My country, may you always live,
The glory of all Muslims!
Long live the King,
For the flag and the country!

Islamic Law

The Constitution of Saudi Arabia is the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad's Sunnahs (teachings). The basic system of government is the Shari'ah, Islamic Law.

The Flag of Saudi Arabia

The flag is a representation of the country's Islamic roots. Its background color is green because green is the traditional color of Islam. The Arabic writing on the flag is the First Pillar of the Five Pillars of Islam or the profession of faith. The drawn sword was added in 1906 and symbolizes the military successes of Islam and King Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Why Saudi Arabia?

The country is named after the royal Al-Saud family and is the world's only country named after a family.
Arabic Proverb - A house divided cannot stand.
