Why can you find sea fossils in the desert of Saudi Arabia? |
|
Until 15 to 20 million years ago most of the eastern half of Saudi Arabia was covered by the sea. The low ridge of the hills east of Khurais, about 2.5 hours east of Riyadh, contain the fossilized remains of the marine life deposited about 45 million years ago. |
