The rectangular photograph shows the richly colored mountains of Wadi Rum. The mountain on the far left is almost sand colored and the mountains seen beyond that are a deeper richer sand color. The mountains to the right are in the shadows and are a very deep color brown. There is a green tree, not an evergreen, on the bottom right. In center of the bottom is the top of a rock dome and is a very light tan. The area from the dome and through the center of the picture appears to be a valley.
